Safe Solar Batteries

A key concern when dealing with solar batteries is safety due to the often hazardous materials they can contain. In order to provide safe energy storage solutions to their customers, AlphaESS has chosen to use LiFePO4 chemistry within their cells which is the safest option currently being used within the industry.

The commitment to safety extends not only to the chemistry used in their batteries but also the cell design which is something we feel is often overlooked by other manufacturers in the field. Shying away from cheaper plastic alternatives, they opt for more reliable casing materials which results in a long mechanical life-span and improved overall safety.

Smart Energy Storage

With our homes and cars all becoming “smart” it only makes sense that your energy storage follows suit and this is where AlphaCloud comes in. It connects all AlphaESS systems so you can monitor and control the devices while also having greater control over power distribution. It is IoT compatible, easily updated and has advanced functionality such as building VPP’s.

The AlphaESS battery management system (BMS) is another layer that offers comprehensive protection via a 3 level software protection as well as hardware level protection. Their energy management system (EMS) is able to regulate peak and frequency as well as handle load shifting, peak shaving, charge management and more.

AlphaESS Residential Solar Batteries

AlphaESS have decided to name their residential solar battery line SMILE which is an acronym for Self sufficient, Modular battery, Intelligent control, Long lifespan & Elegant design. While they are certainly not shy, the name does highlight some aspects of the batteries that we really appreciate.

Most notably is the modular aspect which is becoming a must in the residential energy storage market. Solar batteries are an investment and the capability to start small and expand as you wish is excellent for consumers. All of their products have expandable modules which means you can add to your storage capacity whenever you like.
