It has always been our belief that part of growing a business means giving back, providing opportunities for others both locally and across the world. By being active in our community we help to promote the beautiful Sunshine Coast region which we are lucky enough to live in. After the last couple of years we could all use a good laugh and this is where That’s Not My Dog comes into play. A sprawling 3 day comedy festival located at Kings Beach in Caloundra, the event showcases the funniest people from across the country including Shane Jacobson, Fiona O’Loughlin, Dave O’Neil, Tripod and Peter Helliar among others.
A key reason we are so excited to sponsor the event is due to the fact it aims to draw in locals and visiting tourists, taking steps towards reviving the much needed tourism industry that suffered majorly during the recent global pandemic. Shane Jacobson is one of our valued Solar Ambassadors and we felt it was a perfect fit to get behind an event showcasing a talent such as him.
92.7 Mix FM’s Give Me 5 appeal is a month-long festival of fundraising which raises money for children’s health services on the Sunshine Coast, so far raising almost $6 million for our youngest patients at local public hospitals. This year’s ‘Wish List’ includes vital health staff positions to provide greater access to important services for kids doing it tough, as well as young pregnant women.
Every year all proceeds raised are directed towards the needs of our local children’s ward, paediatric critical care unit, youth mental health services, emergency and outpatients departments and more through the provision of new equipment, educating our health staff and provide services that otherwise wouldn’t be available to families without Give Me 5.
We were ecstatic to be able to provide a unique solar package to the great folks over at Pimpama City FC. They are a pillar of the local community and operate with a level of passion that we can truly appreciate.

We recently became a major sponsor for Brooke ‘Psycho’ Cooper, a mixed martial arts phenom who is making the trip to Thailand to fight in the renowned Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. This is a special event due to the fact that Lumpinee Stadium has only just begun to allow female fighters to compete with the first event being the upcoming Infliction Lumpinee Fight Series. This event is made all the more special due to the fact that Brooke will be the first ever Australian woman to fight in this much lauded arena.
Brooke has already had a stellar career, racking up 11 title belts across muay thai, kickboxing and boxing. As she blazes a trail across the world we are extremely excited to be a part of the next chapter of her journey and cannot wait to see what comes next for this unstoppable force. We wish her all the best in this game changing bout and will be cheering her on once the bell rings.
A day at the races is always a great time and horse racing is deeply embedded into the fabric of our country. The Sunshine Turf Club is a major draw for our region, seeing more than 70,000 people through its gates on an annual basis. A venue such as this is incredibly important for the growth of our region and we were stoked to be offered the opportunity to sponsor a race.
Coming up on the 15th of May is the 91.9 SEA FM Raceday which promises to be a great day for all those in attendance. The highlight of the day for us is our very own race number 7, a maiden handicap over 1000m. We hope to be given more opportunities in the future to help promote and support this fantastic venue that plays a pivotal role in our community.
